As such the win over Far South Coast Falcons in the final saw them take out overall honours.
It was a big day at Parramore Park with 34 teams and around 400 participants taking part.
It was the biggest of the four legs with under 16s and under 18s boys as well as senior girls taking part.
Ag College was the only Southern Inland club to enter a team in the women’s, but there was plenty of talent from across the region in the various teams.
Among those was CSU’s Biola Dawa who won a trip to the Sydney Sevens after being named player of the day.
The Reddies speedster was part of Gungahlin Eagles dramatic final win over Bathurst which went to extra time.
Griffith just come up short in the under 16s final.
After a good win over St Edmunds in the semis, Wests proved too strong in the decider.
Southern Inland rugby manager Jack Heffernan was pleased with how the day unfolded.
“It was a busy and a big day but it was good,” Heffernan said.
He was particularly impressed with Griffith’s win over one of Canberra’s powerhouses.
