A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a Friday afternoon incident in Ashmont.

Officers from the Riverina Police District attended a Tarakan Avenue house about 1:15pm on Friday following information that an unknown number of people believed to be “extremely dangerous” were refusing to leave the house.
Shortly after 7pm, four people emerged from the house and surrendered to police.
On Saturday morning, police advised that two men and one woman were arrested and taken to Wagga Police Station.
Following further inquiries, police charged the 25-year-old man with take person in company with intent to commit serious indictable offence and aggravated assault with intent to take or drive motor vehicle in company.
He was also charged with driving while disqualified.
The man was refused bail by police and will appear before Wagga Local Court today.
Police said nobody was injured during the incident, and their inquiries will continue in the coming days.
