All accounts so far reveal it has been another successful Rock at the Races at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club.
The event returned to Wagga yesterday with musical acts of the likes of Thirsty Merc, Ross Wilson, Pseudo Echo, Wendy Matthews, Stave Balbi and Daryl Brathwaite.
Residents are lamenting the pending closing of The Home Tavern as the potential end of quality live music acts coming to Wagga.
But with the announcement of the Murrumbidgee Music Muster and the likelihood of Rock at the Races returning, music festivals seem to be the way of Wagga’s future.
It’s exciting to think that Wagga is earmarked as a desired venue for these events to come to.
It is now up the the public to attend them to ensure the city stays on the radar of festival organisers.
But residents this morning are preparing to attend a much different event.
Wagga and other surrounding towns will host a commemorative service for Remembrance Day, which this year marks a centenary since Armistice.
It is a time for reflection and honour and respect.
Please, take time to honour those who fought for our country and remember those who might not have been fortunate enough to return.
Enjoy your weekend.
Regards, Nicole
