The Department of Defence is holding a community information session on Monday night to update residents on the ongoing investigations into PFAS on and around the RAAF base.
Members of the investigation team will be available to discuss their findings to date and outline the next steps in the process.
The community consultation will go from 4pm until 7pm at the International Hotel on Lake Albert Road, with a presentation beginning at 5:30pm.
Levels of per-fluoroalkyl and poly-fluoroalkyl substances – commonly referred to as PFAS – were detected in the Forest Hill effluent earlier this year following an investigation into chemical spread from RAAF Base Wagga.
The Department of Defence is working with Wagga City Council to implement a solution before the plant reaches capacity.
