A new festival is headed to the Riverina.
The inaugural Murrumbidgee Music Muster will be hosted by the Murrumbidgee Turf Club in March 2019.
The lineup features Kasey Chambers, Adam Brand, Richard Clapton, Travis Collins, The Badloves, Aleyce Simmonds, Brad Butcher and Melanie Dyer.
Adam Brand said he loves coming to Wagga and can’t wait to be a part of the first-ever Murrumbidgee Music Muster.
“It’s going to be awesome being the inaugural event and you always want to be a part of the first one and the area has such an incredible history for country music,” he said.
“This could be another Deni Ute Muster or Gympie Music Muster
“When it’s one of the biggest, I want to say I was there at the start.”
Brand said he will be playing a mix of music at the event from his older hits to new recordings.
“This area has been due for a big festival and you can draw crowds from Griffith, Leeton and Canberra,” he said.
“This event has got something special with the cross of artists and the wide range of music and acts like Richard Clapton are legends.
“I’m excited for this lineup because it is fresh and unique and it's really fire.”
Organisers said country music has always been enthusiastically embraced by the wider community and for this first year, a stellar line up that will appeal to a wide cross-section of discerning music lovers has been assembled with loving care.
