But the Tathra community was inundated with so many donations of goods that no more are needed.
But what is still needed, according to Rick Priest from the Wagga Men’s Shed, is cash.
So, the organisers of that Wagga appeal, Beryl Wilson, Gary Gurtner and Steve Mullins, have asked the Men’s Shed members to help organise a monster garage-style sale to turn all those donations into the much-needed money.

“They (the Tathra bushfire victims) can spend it the way they want it,” Mr Priest said.
“There are three (shipping) containers full of items. There’s everything from new goods like clothing, items like sheets and blankets to children’s toys, furniture and all sorts of household items. A lot of the items are new.”
That sale will be held on Saturday, November 10, at the Riverina Cranes site in Moorong Street, from 8am to 3pm.
“All the stuff that was donated was given to Tathra, so all the money that is raised will be going to Tathra and District Bushfire Mayoral Appeal Fund,” Mr Priest said.
Members of the Tathra Lions Club will becoming to Wagga to help out with the sale and take back the proceeds.
