One Turvey Park Fire and Rescue truck was called out to Berala Street in Kooringal at 1:47am on Tuesday.
Firefighters said it looked like someone had lit some rubbish underneath the rear of the car on fire in an attempt to set the car alight.
However, the blaze never spread to the car, and the firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and secure the scene.
Then, at 5am, firefighters attended Jubilee Park in Bourkelands after receiving reports that another car had been set on fire.
By the time they arrived, it was too late, and the car was completely destroyed.
Firefighters said nobody was injured in either of the incidents.
