The Warriors are in awesome touch which led to a 12-0 slaughter of Turvey Park last week, and will go into Saturday’s game brimful of confidence.
Their offence was what sealed victory for them over Turvey, but their defence was also outstanding in not allowing Turvey a single run.
The batting power extends right through the lineup and Saints will have to be at their best to restrict the run flow from the Warriors.
As has been noted on many occasions, pitcher Tessa McGlynn and catcher, Kadison Hofert, have led the way in defence and, generally, the Saints fielders have supported them well, but their batting lineup has been brittle.
Apart from the McGlynn sisters, Gemma and Tessa, plus Hofert, Saints have lacked consistency in their batting.
The Warriors have a choice of pitchers to throw at them, so, if one does concede some hits to the Saints, there’s any one of three alternative pitchers to bring on and stem the tide.
When last they met, the Warriors had to finish strongly to break a 2-all scoreline at the sixth. It’s unlikely that this Saturday’s game will be as close as that
