Children and adults alike have been invited to the grounds of the Monte Cristo Homestead on Wednesday night, to experience “a bit of fun” and a scare or two.
Owner Lawrence Ryan said the free ‘Trick or Treating’ event would kick off at 6pm and run through to 10pm.
“We’re not opening the homestead for tours, but the grounds will be open,” Mr Ryan said.
“There’ll be heaps going on and we’ll have on-the-spot prizes.”
He said visitors could encounter a gravedigger, priest, a nun or even the ghost of Monte Cristo.
Unlike the Hollywood movies, Mr Ryan said there was no increased paranormal activity on October 31. He said it was like any other day, if not “a little bit creepier”.
