Committee member for the Riverina Truck Show and Kids Convoy, Lloyd Wishart, said in four years they have raised nearly $250,000 for local charities.
“This year, we picked the Newborn and Paediatric Emergency Transport Service and Rotary,” he said.
The Riverina Truck Show and Kids Convoy returns to Wagga for the fifth year this weekend. Committee member Lloyd Wishart said each year it gets bigger.
“We have more trucks sign up and people are really supportive,” he said. “People can get close and personal and talk to the drivers.”

The Newborn and Paediatric Emergency Transport Service will be one of the recipients of this year’s funds.
“There’s a NETS ambulance in Wagga and is staffed by two volunteers,” Mr Wishart said. “They will go out any time of the day to those that need their specialised service.”
Mr Wishart encourages Wagga residents to come out and enjoy the day because it’s all for a good cause.
Riverina Truck Show and Kids Convoy is on this Saturday. The parade will leave Bomen and head through the streets of Wagga and will end up at the Civic Theatre from 2pm.
“There will be market stalls, live entertainment and amusement rides and fireworks,” Mr Wishart said.
