Non-profit organisation Help Cambodia Wagga will be hosting the premiere of the movie Bohemian Rhapsody at Forum 6 Cinemas on Thursday at 6pm.
The organisation aims to help break the cycle of poverty through improving health and education for children in Cambodia.
Sales from tickets and donations from the movie premiere will go to helping the Development Community for Child School in Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia.
There will also be a raffle at the event.
Help Cambodia Wagga president Christine Hillis said the funds would not only help the students with basic educational needs, but also on excursions and extra-curricular activities.
“It’d allow them to go see significant cultural sites that are part of the city,” Ms Hillis said.
“We visit the country every 12 months to help out.”
Ms Hillis, who has been with the organisation for nearly 10 years, has visited Cambodia about eight times alongside the dozen committee members and said the organisation continues to seek help.
“We’re always looking for sponsorship for the school and the students over there,” she said.
“We’re looking to liaise more with local businesses.”
