Owners Brad and Kaylene Blackburn announced that the store, the only baby shop in Wagga’s CBD, will move from 185 to 156 Baylis Street on November 26.
“It’s a smaller location, but we believe it will be better,” Mrs Blackburn said.
“It’d be closer to the shopping hub, so we’re hoping to pick up more foot.
Asked about the major reason for the decision, Mrs Blackburn said it was the rent increase as part of the lease extension at the current place.
“Things are tough, we’re in them middle of a drought and we’ve had to make a few tough business decisions,” she said.
“This includes the amount of stock on hand, even though we’ve got a wonderful range.”
She said she and Brad were thankful for of their customers’ support.
“Since announcing it yesterday, the news have been received well by our clientele – it’d be a fresh start for us,” Mrs Blackburn said.
“We appreciate our customers’ support.”
