McCrea entered The Daily Advertiser’s 2018 business house tipping competition and blitzed his opposition to win by seven.
He won a signed Sydney Swans guernsey and two tickets per round to any game at the MCG or Etihad Stadium during next year’s home and away season, courtesy of AFL NSW-ACT.
McCrea, a Swans fan, said research was the key to his success.
“Mostly just checking websites, check the results every week, check the ladder. Even check the bookies and then make a decision off that. Everything just started working out,” McCrea said.
McCrea admitted he wasn’t a big AFL fan heading into the season.
“Not really. I only use to watch one game a year and that was the grand final but I love it now,” he said.
