Dustyn James Morgan, 27, was arrested last September and charged with 16 offences after police uncovered a host of material at his home allegedly linked to the break-ins.
The charges brought against him include eight counts of break and enter, four counts of having unlawfully obtained goods on his premises, two counts relating to stealing a car, and engaging in a police pursuit while his licence was disqualified.
He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The Narrandera man is accused of stealing a car, computers, phones, knives, beauty products, a 338-piece tool set, and 240 kilograms of dog biscuits among many other valuable items during the string of break-ins.
Mr Morgan’s case was heard in Wagga District Court on Friday, when a trial date was supposed to be set.
However, solicitor David Barron requested an extra week to get some final instructions from his client.
“There is a prospect the matter may settle … if this could go over to Friday next week, I can obtain those instructions,” he said.
Mr Morgan will return to court again on October 26.
