Hume and Hovell Ultra coordinator Peter Fitzpatrick has celebrated one of the “best events to date” after witnessing the records crumble during the trail marathon’s seventh installment.

Australian ultra marathon representative Brendan Davies headlined the 100km event and didn’t disappoint, crossing the finish line after less than 10 hours on the course.
Davies recorded a blistering time of nine hours, 54 minutes and 47 seconds to beat his nearest rival, Kevin Muller, by more than an hour.
Muller finished second overall ahead of Richard Storrier, who clinched first place in the 18-39 years category.
Florentina Cadwallen was the fastest female over 100km, notching a time of 13 hours, 32 minutes and 34 seconds.
In the other events, Matthew Berrington and Shannon Jones took out the 22km event while Dominique Ferguson edged Reece Evans to clinch the overall 50km title with a time of five hours, one minute and eight seconds.
Andrew McConnell emerged victorious in the 100 mile event, crossing the finish line after a gruelling 19 hours, 27 minutes and 54 seconds.
“It was an unbelievable weekend,” Fitzpatrick said.
