Michele Moloney, together with her daughter-in-law Sophie Moloney, began Tambea Kitchen & Garden in November 2017.
“The business hosts creative workshops and private gatherings at "Tambea", the heart of the family's wheat and canola farm,” Michele said.
“We're so close to Wagga, only 15 minutes, but when you get here you can really settle in and it feels so removed from the daily grind.”
Sophie said it all began because they share a love for three aspects,
"We started the business because we wanted to offer people a lovely relaxed experience, utilising Michele's skills in the kitchen and the glorious Tambea garden - and at the same time giving people access to some of our region's best creatives,” she said.
"We love food, gardens and people, so it's a great combination.”

Michele has a long history with food, having previously had the business Tambea Jam, as well as supplying local eateries with cakes and sweets.
"As well as a good 40 years of feeding men in a paddock," she joked.
Michele hosts the baking classes, as well as the jam and preserves workshops.
"We've also been so lucky with all of our presenters, they are each not only talented but totally enthusiastic and engaging,” Sophie said.
Michele said they run small classes so that people feel comfortable and are able to ask questions and the focus is on offering a reasonably-priced, but self-indulgent experience.
“Each of the workshops has been very positively received and we are really enjoying deciding what we will cook for our participants, how the workshop will run, and meeting so many happy, friendly people,” she said.
“We offer photography, art, baking, floristry and gardening workshops, as well as our very popular Yoga and Brunch mornings.
“It's an opportunity for people to escape, and also a great way to plan a catch-up with friends or to meet like-minded people.”
Sophie said “experience over things” is becoming more desirable.
"We have also had lots of people purchase vouchers, especially for Mother's Day and Christmas,” she said.
“I think it is becoming very popular to gift an experience, rather than more 'things’.”
