The Bulls restricted Saints to just 9/89 from their 20 overs before chasing down the meagre total with five overs to spare.
Sam Smith was the pick of Lake Albert’s bowling attack with a 2-17 haul from his four overs and drew the praise of skipper Kurt Robertson.
“I though Sam bowled really well and getting figures like that is a good effort for a 15-year-old,” Robertson said.
Robertson (1-11 from three overs) bowled well while Tom Doig (2-20 from three overs), Lachlan Skelly (1-14 from four overs), Alex Smeeth (1-9 from two overs) and Jesse Hampton (1-13 from four overs) snared five wickets between them.
“I’m happy with how we bowled but there’s plenty to improve on. We ended up giving away 14 runs in extras and that’s something we want to hone in on,” Robertson said.
Adam Newcombe (32 not out) and Joshua Coyte (18) top scored for the Bulls in their run chase.
Jack Mason was the pick of St Michaels’ bowlers with two wickets.
