Dave Skow, who owns Wagga Property Management, has bought Remax Elite and the two organisations will become a single entity from November 1.
Mr Skow said the freshly merged operation would retain the Remax title and he and his seven Wagga Property Management staff would move into the larger Baylis Street offices of his newly acquired business.
There are a further eight Remax staff members who will be part of the newly merged team.
The Junee Remax office is not a part of the merger. It will remain owned by mother and daughter Annette and Jenna Pollard, who had operated the Wagga firm as well.
Mr Skow is positive both about the merger and the position of Wagga’s property sector.
In the past 18 months, at least 10 properties in the city have been sold for more than $1 million.
“Wagga has affordable entry prices and healthy returns on investments,” he said.
“A big chunk of Wagga’s investors come from Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.”

Mr Skow said Wagga’s transient population contributed to what he said were low rental vacancy rates.
While the merger with Remax will add a sales arm to his company, Mr Skow said he was intending to remain in property management rather than adding sales to his job description.
Currently based in Fitzmaurice Street, Wagga Property Management does not handle real estate sales at all.
For Mr Skow, the new business venture is also something of a return to past experiences, as he previously worked for Remax before he started his own company.
“In a way, I’ve come full circle,” he said.
Mr Skow grew up in Lockhart, but got his first job in Wagga with John Mooney Real Estate.
He later moved to Sydney and expanded his work in real estate to include running training programs with the Real Estate Institute and spending time with with Elders.
But eventually home beckoned and Mr Skow returned to Wagga, where he has family and friends.
After working back in real estate in Wagga, Mr Skow decided to branch out on his own and started Wagga Property Management five years ago.
