Khodedah was a rock for the ninth-placed Warriors and received the first grade best and fairest gong during the club’s end of season celebrations at Cache.
Nashwan Sulaiman was the pick from within the Pascoe Cup squad, receiving the player’s player prize, while Watban Ibrahim was recognised for his efforts with the coaches award.
In a hard-fought race, Will Carey edged Ameen Osman and Faisal Sulaiman for the top goal scorers award with a total of four scores for the season.
South Wagga’s Leonard Cup side had their fair share of stars en route to a brave semi finals appearance but Abbey Gillogly was a cut above the rest.
Gillogly claimed the best and fairest award ahead of contenders Biola Dawa and Jessica Buchhorn despite having only played 11 Leonard Cup games, however, Dawa and Buchorn were recognised for their strong seasons with the top goal scorers award and coaches award respectively.
Other award recipients included Brittany Madden, Moses Tushabe, Fawaz Shani Baqi, Chris Payne, Dominic Merlino, Myles Henman, Mitch Bowen, Max Henman, Jasmine Kefford, Eleanor Miller, Katelyn Worldon, Daniel Harris, Stephen Burns, Patrick O’Brien, Rowen Harris and Kara Dyason.
Club president Stephen Burns described the evening as a “cracking night”.
