Godbier has been a mainstay in the Riverina’s soccer community for many years and guided the under 20s through another season of improvements in the State League competition.
After two seasons with the under 20s, Godbier is sad to let go of the side but said he was proud of their achievements.
“I’ll certainly miss them – they’re a good bunch of young men,” Godbier said.
“I’ve spoken with some of the boys and they understand and know the reasons I’ve taken this new role on.
Godbier said it was always difficult to let go of something “you’ve put a lot of time into” but remains excited about what lies ahead.
“We’ve got trials coming up and we’ve had some good interest already,” he said.
The search for Godbier’s replacement is underway.
