UPDATE: Police are investigating after a car was set on fire following a pursuit near Wagga last night.

Just before 10.40pm on Friday, police patrolling Tarakan Street, Ashmont, sighted a Holden Rodeo, that was reported as stolen, travelling above the speed limit.
A pursuit was initiated but terminated shortly after due to the manner of driving.
Just before 11.30pm, police attended bushland on Leavenworth Drive, Mount Austin, and found a Holden Rodeo burnt out.
Officers from Riverina Police District conducted an extensive search of the area; however, the driver was not located.
A crime scene was established and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
EARLIER: Firefighters from the Turvey Park Fire and Rescue were kept busy on Friday night with another Wagga car fire.
Turvey Park Fire Station received the call out at to Leavenworth Drive, Mount Austin at 11.20pm on Friday night.
A spokesperson for the station said police attended the scene and the fire was extinguised within 20 minutes.
Friday night’s incident comes after emergency services rushed to Mount Austin in the early hours of Thursday morning after receiving reports that two cars had been set on fire.
Officers from the Riverina Police District and Turvey Park Fire and Rescue arrived at the Bourke Street home about 5am to find a Holden Commodore and a Mitsubishi Pajero alight.
Riverina Police District inspector Peter McLay said the owners were home at the time and woken up by the sound of their car alarms.
