It was a week that saw the tampox tax finally get abolished, much to the delight of women right across the country.
Since the GST was introduced 18 years ago, it has long been argued that these essential items shoudl not be taxed.
Women across Wagga rejoiced during the week when the announcement was made the tax would be scrapped.
The region saw a bit of rain and although it may not be quite enough to break the drought, the farmers are not complaining.
And while that rain might have been helpful for farmers and our gardens, it hasn’t been as useful for Lake Albert after the Tatton Drain project was delayed.
With sightings of algae appearing months ahead of time, the rain that would have been redirected this week from the Tatton Drain could have been enough to stir it up to avoid a lake crisis such as the one experienced earlier this year.
This week’s The Daily Advertiser 150th story focuses on the city’s military history.
This weekend, past and present staff members celebrated the Advertiser’s birthday with an unofficial reunion at the MTC.
We are sure there were plenty of stories and old memories shared.
