The restaurant franchise on Baylis Street was established four years ago by Asif Ahmed, the current franchisee, at a cost of more than $700,000.
Mr Ahmed and his family moved to Sydney for the past year and he has been travelling to Wagga every week to oversee operations.
“We moved to Sydney as my wife wanted to go to university there as they didn’t have her course here,” Mr Ahmed said.
“I was keen on trialling the drive to and from Wagga for a while but it does get hard.
“It’s the hardest part and I prefer to see this place succeed with a local owner.”

Mr Ahmed also runs a business in Sydney.
Asked about the growth since he began, he said the brand awareness among consumers was the biggest factor.
“There wasn’t much brand awareness then, but the locals love it now,” he said.
“We get a lot of support from them.”
Mr Ahmed said there were three major initiatives to implement to grow the restaurant.
“There’s delivery, which I think would create a spike for the food here,” he said.
“Breakfast was also launched nationally by GYG, which offers people things like burritos, sourdough breads, guacamole and coffee.
“And late-night opening on the weekends.”
For all three areas, projected growth is at 15–30 per cent for each.
Growth Strategy Exit Business Consultants now lists the business, with a site size of 350 square metres, for sale at $390,000.
The store is run by management with 10 casuals.
