Gun duo Nick Anderson and Jarrod Eaton were instrumental in the Sharks’ historic grand final win and excelled in their debut season with the club.
Anderson’s semi final double kept the Sharks’ season alive while Eaton was a constant menace in the midfield alongside Duncan Brodie and Jamie Rankin.
Unfortunately for Lake Albert fans, Anderson and Eaton won’t be around to defend their title next year after being posted to Sydney for work commitments.
The pair managed just one season for Lake Albert and club president Andrew Manton said the side are eager to find replacements for both players.
“We obviously knew Ando and Jarrod would be off at the end of the season due to their posting,” Manton said.
“I’m sure Tinny (Mitch Tinnock) will be looking for a few people to replace them in the set up.”
Manton took the opportunity to formally back Tinnock as coach for a second season, branding his conduct as “fantastic”.
“He’s been a really great ambassador for the club and you can’t really fault a bloke whose gone through his first season undefeated,” Manton said.
“It’s pretty hard not to back a guy who doesn’t lose a game all year. I think he’s done a great job and it’s been a terrific year for us.”
