The Temora captain-coach fractured his ulna in the last round of the Group Nine season in August.
He’s already got his cast taken off and is confident he’ll be right for the Country under 23s tour next month.
“She will be fine,” Elwin said.
“I’ve taken the cast off on the weekend and it is feeling much better.
“It should be right by this weekend to throw the footy around this weekend.”
Elwin injured his arm early in the Dragons loss to Cootamundra to end the season.
Elwin is one of three Riverina players selected for the tour, alongside Tumut prop Zac Masters and Southcity winger Jack Lyons, following their Country Championships campaign earlier this season.
He’ll also partner Gundagai junior Derek Hay, play now plays for Queanbeyan Kangaroos, in the halves.
The Country side will meet for a training camp this weekend before playing two games.
First they will travel to Brisbane to take on an Armed Forces side on October 9 before playing to Port Moresby to play on October 14.
Elwin has played across the world but rates the chance to play in a Country jumper as the highlight of his career.
“I’m very much looking forward to the experience,” he said.
“It’s not the best preparation for me, but this is definitely the most excited I’ve been before a game of footy.
“I’ve been lucky to play in a lot of grand finals but this game is more important in my books so I want to make sure it (the arm) is 100 per cent right.”
Elwin has been locked in for another season as Dragons coach, but they are yet to strike a move in the off-season as they look for a way to play finals for the first time in over a decade.
The halfback was runner-up in his side’s best and fairest with Hayden Philp going back-to-back.
