A man is in a critical condition after a single-vehicle crash near Holbrook on Sunday.

At about 5pm, emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, 1km north of the intersection of Rankins Lane, Holbrook, following reports a commodore sedan towing a trailer had left the road and crashed into a tree.
The driver, a 26-year-old man, was trapped in the vehicle before being freed by the State Emergency Service.
The man was flown to Canberra Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Officers from Murray River Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
