With the rise of the CrossFit movement, gyms have been opening up right across Wagga.
From big chains, refurbishments to old establishments and sheds filled with weights, they’ve all made themselves comfortable in an expanding market.
News surfaced this week that one of the city’s biggest gyms, Xceler8, will be taken over by the gym of the Canberra Raiders, Club Lime.
It’s nice to see city facilities have their sights set on regional area but it will be sad to see a well-known and respected name leave the city.
In other sad news, the woman with the voice heard by thousands of people in the Riverina over the past 52 years will be laid to rest next week.
Janice Little worked for Wagga Taxis for five decades at Wagga Taxis, achieving the rare feat of spending an entire 52-year career in one job at one organisation.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at St Michael’s Cathedral from 10.30am.
