But it is not for a casual stroll, as Mrs O’Hara is one of the organisers of the Wagga Walk to D-feet Motor Neurone Disease.
Mrs O’Hara does it in memory of her husband Tasman, who was diagnosed with MND – which is also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig’s Disease – in August 2009.
Mr O’Hara died in October 2010, just 14 months after his initial diagnosis.
“In Wagga right now, there are families coping with MND,” Mrs O’Hara said.
The MND walk will be held from 5.30pm on Saturday, October 6, at Apex Park, Lake Albert.
