The Sharks’ leading goal scorer has been a mainstay during the club’s purple patch and will form a dynamic attacking partnership with brother Henri Gardner and departing striker Nick Anderson in Sunday’s decider.
Gardner admitted his side struggled to build pressure against Wagga United during last weekend’s semi final but said it would be a different game altogether against the unpredictable Lions.
“I guess it all just depends how they’ll play on the weekend, like what they do in defence, who they’ll put on to mark our strikers and that kind of thing,” Gardner said.
Bring on the game though, I’m just keen to play.

“Bring on the game though, I’m just keen to play.”
The star winger paid tribute to the Lions’ efforts in a brutal finals campaign and is excited to have another crack at the only side against whom Lake Albert have failed to score on all year.
“Credit to them, they’ve done really well this year,” Gardner said.
“I was actually expecting them to beat Henwood Park in the semi final anyway, so yeah, we’ll just have to wait and see how it all goes on Sunday.”
