South Wagga Butchery won naming rights for the $30,000 feature which will be held in March, while the Duke Of Kent Hotel (Wagga Derby) and Whitings Dry Cleaning (Wagga Oaks) were the other feature race winners.
South Wagga Butchery owner Liam Hanigan was lost for words when told of his good fortune.
“I love a night at the harness racing and plan to throw my support behind the first Cup to be run at the new track,” he said.
Hanigan has had the midas touch of late as is also part of the William Farrer Hotel Super Punters Club which drew a slot in the Kosciuszko and sealed a deal with the favourite Care To Think.
“It has been a big few days,” Hanigan said.
