Earlier: A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a school bus in the Riverina this afternoon.
At about 3.45pm today, emergency services were called to Tooma Road, about 15km south of Tumbarumba, following reports a motorcycle had collided with a school bus.
Officers from Riverina Police District performed CPR on the rider – a man believed to be aged in his 60s – until paramedics arrived.
However, the man died at the scene.
A number of children, who were passengers on the school bus, were not injured.
The driver of the bus, a 63-year-old woman, was taken to Tumbarumba Hospital for mandatory testing.
Tooma Road has been closed and will remain closed for a number of hours.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and check www.livetraffic.com for the latest updates.
A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.
NSW Police is continuing investigation into the fatal accident.
