The business began in 1919 when Harold Joseph Reece started selling hardware products from the back of his truck.
Today, Reece is a major public company and Australia's most successful supplier of plumbing and bathroom products, operating the nation’s largest plumbing and bathroom supplies business, as well as eight others in allied industries.
Reece is celebrating 30 years of business in Wagga in 2018; recognising three decades of providing premium plumbing and bathroom products with access to thousands of leading international and local suppliers.
The Wagga branch recently moved to a modern, custom-built premises located in Dobney Avenue.
Branch manager Chris Jordan said the company had seen huge changes in the industry, particularity around technology.
“We are really excited to open the doors to our new plumbing, civil and bathroom facility at 57 Dobney Avenue,” Mr Jordan said.
“The new site gives Reece the ability to continue to grow and to improve its services each day.
“In 2007 we introduced Reece Civil to the Wagga Wagga business, providing specialised products for civil construction works including water mains, sewerage, drainage, fire services, gas mains and telecommunications.
“In recent years we have grown our irrigation and pool presence, from turf to piping, lighting to pumps and pool testing.”
Reece irrigation offers an extensive selection of high quality products to service the landscape, commercial and agricultural industries.
