At about 2:40 on Saturday afternoon crews attached to Wagga and Turvey Park Fire Stations attended the scene.
One Wagga and two Turvey Park crews mobilised within four minutes of receiving the call, and had the fire contained within 15 minutes of arrival.
It is understood the house was not occupied at the time of the fire.
Damage was sustained at the front of the building.
Wagga Police are now investigating the cause of the blaze.
It follows a busy day for Turvey Park firefighters.
Around five o’clock this afternoon, police were called to a grass fire on the eastern side of Willans Hill.
A Turvey Park spokesperson described the fire as “appearing contained”.
Turvey Park crews also assisted in the containment of a grass fire on the Sturt Highway at 12:20pm.
The Rural Fire Service also attended.
With winds of up to 35 kilometres an hour around Wagga, a Turvey Park spokesperson spoke of the danger a small fire may pose in such conditions.
