It follows this week’s shock contamination scandal, with needles and pins found in strawberries across Queensland and Victoria.
Residents in NSW have been advised some punnets sold across the state have now been affected.
While Riverina punnets remain unaffected, NSW police are urging all residents to be on alert.
Some brands, including Berry Obsession, Berry Licious, Love Berry, Donnybrook Berries, Delightful Strawberries, and Oasis may now have been contaminated, according to NSW police.

Supermarkets are working with authorities to remove all stock from the affected date and any customer who has purchased strawberries of the potentially impacted brands is urged to cut the fruit before consuming.
