The majority of people choose to experience their last days in their home, however, this is not always a viable option for some for a variety of reasons. There may be concerns around the suitability of the house, equipment issues or family assistance may not be available.
The Forrest Centre Hospice will provide a first-rate regional palliative care facility adjoining our Mary Potter Nursing Home.
As a stand alone unit, the hospice will provide a dedicated entry, large family friendly rooms with private ensuite, individual kitchenette, lounge, dining room and quiet room.
All residents and families will have access to pastoral care services and multiple outdoor and courtyard areas.
Of course, we will provide access to specialist palliative care services as well as our own dedicated and compassionate staff of registered nurses, endorsed enrolled nurses and assistants in nursing.
With over 30 years’ service in the aged care sector The Forrest Centre is an entrenched local partner that is delighted, once again, to add to its range of facilities to support our community.
The Forrest Centre board, management and staff are proud to present The Forrest Centre Hospice.
