In a bid to sharpen his attacking formation, United coach Travis Weir has fast-tracked Horvath’s return from an injury niggle and will play his enforcer in a central role.
“We’re keen to get him back in – he’s a very tough footballer and he gives us a lot of direction,” Weir said.
“He trains hard every week too and when he puts on a bib, most of the blokes try and get the same colour so they don’t have to go against him.”
The injection of Horvath will see Dan Cain shift to the wing at the expense of Oscar Wills, who will adopt an impact role off the pine.
“Dan will shift out wide which means Oscar will get some time off the bench later in the game,” Weir said.
“Last week was the first time we were able to use fresh bench players and it made a massive difference for us.”
Weir is determined to see his side improve tactically but isn’t concerned about the threat posed by Lake Albert, who are yet to be topped this season.
“I think there were a lot of things we could’ve done better against Tolland last weekend but I was happy that we were only down 1-0 even though we played a bad first half,” Weir said.
“It'll be a very big game this weekend.”
