Wagga Agricultural Club have decided to support the drought appeal by donating $2 for every pre-sold ticket to the raceday to the Buy A Bale appeal.
Murrumbidgee Turf Club has also jumped on board and pledged $1000 to the appeal.
Already ticket sales indicate another huge crowd is going to hit MTC for the popular raceday.
“It’s terrific to see Aggies supporting such a great cause and we were more than happy to come on board and show our support as well,” MTC chief executive Scott Sanbrook said.
Sanbrook expects a crowd of more than 5000 people to hit the track.
“I think we had close to 5500 last year and we’re expecting a very similar crowd this year,” he said.
“Pre sales have been every bit as strong and the interest shown from far and wide certainly indicates a huge turn out.”
