Boxing trainer Glen Kelk and CrossFit Wagga owner Aaron Pearce are pooling their resources at Pearce’s Fernleigh Road premises and will begin running new classes for all ages and abilities next week.
Kelk, 56, has facilitated classes on private property for over 30 years and says demand for classes is increasing.
“We’ve already had a few people register their interest with some coming as recently as today,” Kelk said.
Kelk is hopeful of running three to four sessions per week and encourage all-comers to test themselves in boxing, kickboxing and Thai boxing.
“It’s all much of a muchness when it comes to who want to try it – both men and women enjoy boxing,” he said.
Pearce, 36, is a huge fan of boxing for fitness and hopes to run parallel strength and conditioning programs for those who participate in Kelk’s classes.
“There’s a general self defence element to boxing that a lot of people like,” Pearce said.
