The team took out the award for best commercial renovation project between one million and three million dollars.
Scope of the works at the centre included:
- Upgrades to the dining hall
- Upgrades to the kitchen
- Upgrades to the scullery
New external full-height doors and window units were installed to brighten the space and make the room feel larger.
The kitchen layout was also reconfigured to make for a more productive and flowing space.
The internal fit out of the kitchen included a new freezer and cool rooms, and new food service equipment.
All the surfaces were finished with pressed metal to allow for easy cleaning and hygienic purposes, a suspended pressed-metal ceiling system was also installed to add to the ease of use.
In the dining room a photographic panel feature wall was installed to liven up the space.
The judges were impressed with the excellent workmanship and the 12 week timeframe.
