Lake Albert coach Mitch Tinnock won’t be fazed by the coming semi final showdown with Wagga United as his unbeaten side looks to lock in yet another grand final appearance.

The Sharks general admitted he “wasn’t surprised” to see United edge Tolland during the Pascoe Cup elimination finals but stopped short of praising his opponents-to-be.
“Before the game, I definitely expected United to win it because Tolland hadn’t been doing too well in the back half of the year,” Tinnock said.
“I think it’s going to be a big game for us against United this weekend but we’re confident.”
The men in orange haven’t lost in 11 consecutive games and have happily adopted ‘underdog’ status ahead of the clash.
However, Tinnock took note of United’s two key absences against the Wolves, ineligible Wanderers duo Tyler Allen and Prince Thompson, and believes their influence was missed last weekend.
“They didn’t look as good without Tyler and Prince in my opinion,” Tinnock said.
“That being said, they put it to us last time we met and it’ll be tough again this time.”
Lake Albert are unbeaten in two games against United this year, winning their first encounter 4-1 back in June before their recent 1-all draw.
The teams meet this Sunday at Leeton Sports Ground.
