Florals, bright colours and, crowns and Dior brim headpieces are the way to go for this weekend’s Aggies Race Day.
Dianne Barbour, the owner of Dianne Barbour Millinery, said the races and Fashions on the Field gives people a chance to dress up.
“I just don’t think we dress up enough and this is a great opportunity to do that,” she said.
With Aggies Race Day rapidly approaching, it’s not too late to make sure you are Fashions on the Field ready.
Ms Barbour said there is no rule when it comes to assembling the outfit.
“You can pick the dress or the headwear first,” she said.
“Dior brims, crowns and turbans are in fashion at the moment and you’re looking at your reds, yellows and oranges.
“Just keep on trying everything on until you are happy.”
Ms Barbour said even though the Aggies Race Day sees younger crowds, it doesn't reflect in the fashion.
“It’s becoming more like traditional race meetings in the way people dress,” she said.
More than 5000 racegoers are expected to converge on the Murrumbidgee Turf Club this Saturday.
Gates will open at 12pm for the six-race program.
