A driver has been issued with traffic infringements after rolling his sedan several times on the Hume Highway earlier today.
The silver Mazda 3 was travelling southbound between Kyeamba and Little Billabong Road when it rolled onto its roof just after 6am.
Emergency services, including police and ambulance, and a tow truck attended the scene.
A police spokesperson said the driver, a 28-year-old male, was uninjured.
Officers from the Murray River Police District attended and spoke with the driver.
He was issued with traffic infringement notices for:
- Drive without proper control of vehicle
- Use light vehicle not comply with tyres standard
During the accident, one southbound lane was closed for about four hours as crews worked to recover the vehicle.
A spokesperson from Transport Management Centre said “it was fortunate it wasn’t too serious and it was off the road”.
Southbound lanes were reopened after 10.30am.
