Headlining Fusion18 are Mama Kin Spender, Oh Mercy, Henry Wagons and Woodes.
Alex Gow, singer and songwriter of Oh Mercy said he was keen to be returning to Wagga.
“I'm really excited to be apart of the Fusion18 lineup as I'll be sharing a stage with some of my favourite Australian artists,” he said.
“I'll be playing Oh Mercy songs in a duo format, taking tunes from each of my five albums.
“Playing in this stripped back way is a really fun and engaging way for me to revisit my songs, to represent them in the simple way they were written, without the added production.”
Danielle Caruana, part of the Mama Kin duo, said they can’t wait to perform in Wagga.
“We love working with festivals which are regional and have a community focus,” she said.
“We enjoy getting out of the cities and coming to places and events that are committed to the cultural enrichment of their towns and communities and Fusion ticks that box for us big time.
“Tommy and I perform as a duo, but don’t misjudge our small numbers on stage to mean that our sound is anything but large and rocking.”
Wagga City Council’s director of community Janice Summerhayes said Fusion has grown to be one of the city’s biggest events, with more than 10,000 people from the region and beyond
“The roving performers are always a hit and this year there will be everything from stiltwalkers to pop-up New Orleans-style music,” she said.
“The full line-up of modern and authentic street food will be announced in the coming weeks, along with our community performers and popup shops.
“This year we will also have fun activities, giant games and more for families, plus a unique drawing table that amplifies your scratches and scribbles.”
Fusion18 will be held in the Civic Precinct and Victory Memorial Gardens from 4pm to 9.30pm on October 20.
