Police, ambulance, and the Wagga Rescue Squad were called out to the reserve about 11:30am after someone reported the girl had taken a vertical fall of about 20 metres.
The girl was found in an inaccessible area, however, she was able to walk herself to safety with the help of the emergency services.
She was then taken to Wagga Base Hospital in a stable condition to receive further treatment.
NSW Ambulance said the girl was lucky to have suffered only relatively minor injuries after the accidental tumble, which they estimated was probably a bit less than 20 metres.
She suffered only minor facial injuries, and her vital signs were all very good.
