The Year 12 student has been named in the AFL Women’s Under 18 All-Australian team.
Parker didn’t play in the curtain-raiser to the EJ Whitten Legends match in Adelaide on Friday night, but was still named captain.
“To be acknowledged as a leader of such a talented group is amazing,” she said.
“I was under instructions from doctors, being cautious, so I had to sit this one out.
“There’s no injury, it’s obviously heading to bigger and better things in the draft.”
The classy left-footer is a red-hot tip to feature in the top 10 of the AFLW draft on October 23.
Parker will attend the draft combine early next month.
The clever left-footer had been named in a 48-member squad after starring in the national championships on the Gold Coast in July.
Parker was superb for the Eastern Allies, claiming her team’s top award.
