Navakayala made quite the impression in the forward pack after joining the Phantoms this season, sharing the top nod with the versatile centre.
After ending their 26-year premiership drought last season, the Phantoms finished third this year after being knocked out by Ag College in the dying seconds of the preliminary final against Ag College.
In other awards, Dianas captain Kaitlyn McKay was named best and fairest in the women’s team.
Kris Sales got the nod in second grade while Simon Wallace’s efforts were recognised after being named Clubperson of the Year.
