The Riverina Fire Control Centre will host the event as part of ‘Get Ready 2018’, an initiative to help residents prepare for the upcoming fire-danger period and storm season.
Visitors will get a glimpse into their local emergency services: NSW RFS, Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Police Force, Wagga Rescue Squad and the NSW SES.
The open day will allow visitors the chance to look at the Fire Control Centre and firefighting helicopter.
As well, they may hop on fire trucks and chat with emergency services crews to learn more about their everyday roles.
