Pupils from the Yvonne O’Connor School of Dancing were put to the test on Friday as Royal Dancing Academy examiner Shayne McCormick conducted the exams.
Yvonne O’Connor has been operating her school for more than 50 years.
“The students have been practising specifically for the exams for the past two months,” she said.
“The Grade Two girls are tested on classical technique, musicality, technique and presentation.
“Towards the exams, they were attending classes two or three times a week.”
Ms O’Connor opened her first studio in 1968 in a small rented studio on Morgan Street before later moving to her Tarcutta Street location.
