The ‘Tough Gig for Tough Times’ event will take place from 1pm on September 23 at the Victory Memorial Gardens.
Despite the free entry, concert-goers are encouraged to make a donation on the night to support the NSW drought appeal.
“I hope people will be generous if they so feel,” said Alan Brown, chairman of Wagga’s Farmers Association.
“We’ll be ensuring that all the funds go directly to the NSW drought fund to put groceries on the tables of those who really need it.”
The night’s performance will include the Kapooka army band ensemble as well as musicians hand-picked by Dale Allison.
“We certainly have a lot of talent and I think Kapooka could probably fill out a three hour show just on their own,” said Cr Conkey.
“Dale has an extensive list of performers, and so far nobody’s said no at this stage.”
