The travelling Leetonites produced one of their most measured performances of the season at Rawlings Park, slotting a goal in each half to confirm their finals berth ahead of next weekend’s last home and away fixture.
Erik Listmann drew first blood with an opportunistic strike before Michael Di Lorenzo doubled Leeton’s advantage in the second term.
The win marked Leeton’s second on the trot after a horror start to the month and Doolin couldn’t be happier with his side’s efforts.
“I think we were fairly confident heading into this one and we stuck to the game plan really well,” Doolin said.
“We put plenty of pressure on them and ended up with 90 minutes of fantastic football.
“Obviously it’s great to have the win and it locks down our finals spot, which is excellent because we didn’t want to be waiting around until next week to do that.
“It’s always better to sort it out yourself than wait on other results anyway.”
